I was born in Warsaw, Poland, and moved to the United States at nineteen, just after graduating high school in 1986.
I earned a B.S. in Marketing, then studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and became a health coach in 2012. For the next decade I worked as a student mentor for the Institute, mentoring thousands of students from all over the world. I studied under Dr. Tom O’Bryan and became a Certified Gluten Practitioner, and I trained as a life coach at the Neurolinguistic Programming Training Institute of Chicago.
I have published along the way. Vague Memories, a memoir of growing up an aristocrat in socialist Poland. Stripes, a children’s book about the beauty of imagination that makes all dreams come true. Then the health and wellness titles: Dairy Free Basics, Casually Delicious. Gluten Free, Say No to Feeling Tired. Nourishing Soups. Primary Approach to Mindful Living. And Super Kids, Raising Healthy Families.
I raised four children. People call me wise, but that comes with age and perspective, a proper and loving upbringing, reading, traveling, and the privilege of coaching thousands of people. Their stories, their desires, the ways they get stuck and the ways they overcome.
Early in 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It gave me one more perspective and reinforced the value of education, faith, and positive imagination. It also led me to the Cancer Education Sessions I now offer, because when time is of the essence, no one should have to organize it all alone.
The rest of that story is in the book.
